Amazon Launches LTL Freight for All U.S. Businesses
On June 10, it was announced that Amazon is broadening its logistics services by making LTL freight available to all companies in the United States. This initiative is part of Amazon Supply Chain Services, a platform allowing external businesses to leverage Amazon's extensive transportation and fulfillment network, developed over nearly thirty years.
Previously, Amazon's LTL service primarily focused on managing inbound freight arriving at its facilities. With this new expansion, companies of all sizes can now utilize the service for a variety of shipments, including transporting goods between their own locations or to third-party destinations.
This development highlights Amazon's strategic focus on enhancing its logistics offerings to meet the evolving needs of diverse businesses. As e-commerce and delivery continue to grow, the new LTL service could prove to be a valuable tool for improving competitiveness and optimizing costs for companies nationwide.
