FESCO Sets New Benchmark in Container Transportation
The first half of 2026 marked a significant milestone for the transport group FESCO, part of the state corporation "Rosatom," as it achieved a record volume in imported container shipping. The East Siberian ports handled nearly 140,000 TEU during this period, reflecting a remarkable 65% increase compared to the same timeframe last year. This figure also surpasses the previous record set in the first half of 2024 by 19%.
A key driver behind this impressive achievement was the surge in cargo volumes from international origins. Enhancements in logistics infrastructure and process optimizations contributed to the improved performance of the company. Such dynamics highlight the growing interest in Russian ports and routes, underscoring their increasing competitiveness on the global stage.
Experts assert that such accomplishments hold vital importance for the national economy as a whole. FESCO's successes could act as a catalyst for further growth in the transportation sector and attract new investments in logistics, subsequently ensuring higher growth rates in the future.
