Magnit Expands Logistics with New Tambov Warehouse
Russia's leading retailer, Magnit, is making strategic strides in enhancing its logistics capabilities by launching a new warehouse in the Tambov region. Amid economic challenges, the company's investment in storage and processing infrastructure underscores its commitment to improving supply chains. The recently acquired facility spans 7,000 square meters and will focus on the storage and packaging of potatoes, marking the initial phase of establishing a network of specialized complexes for the extended storage of fruits and vegetables. This initiative will be managed by Magnit's subsidiary, Magnit Agro Farmer, which will handle the procurement and distribution of agricultural products. By expanding its warehousing capabilities, Magnit aims to streamline logistics and improve supply efficiency to its retail outlets. This development is a significant move within the company’s strategy to create a sustainable and reliable supply chain for its customers amidst the increasing demand for fresh produce.
