New Logistics Hub for Central Asia Planned
In a bold move to enhance its export capabilities in Central Asia, Wildberries has revealed plans to establish a vast logistics center in Uzbekistan, backed by a $300 million investment. This announcement came from RWB's CEO, Robert Mirzoyan, during the Tashkent International Investment Forum, where opportunities for trade development in the region were discussed. The new hub will be a key component of the logistics framework, featuring a sorting center and a state-of-the-art warehouse complex.
The logistics node is designed not only for sorting and storing goods but also for managing export flows from Uzbekistan to various countries. This initiative aims to streamline supply processes and provide regional producers greater access to international markets. It is anticipated that the operational launch of this center will positively impact the national economy and create numerous job opportunities.
This project also highlights the growing interest of international companies in the Uzbek market and its potential as a vital logistics hub for Central Asia. With increasing trade volumes and infrastructure development, Uzbekistan stands to occupy an essential position on the global logistics map.
