Petersburg's Warehouse Space Hits Record in 2026
In the latter half of 2026, Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region showcased unprecedented growth in warehouse spaces. NF GROUP reported that the region introduced 358,000 square meters of modern class A and B warehouses, achieving the highest figure ever recorded in the region's history. This surge highlights the increasing interest in logistics infrastructure in this economically significant area. However, despite this substantial increase in supply, transaction volumes plummeted to just 37,000 square meters, nearly four times lower than during the same period in 2025. As a result, vacancy rates escalated to 5.6% when factoring in subleasing, rising by 3.8 percentage points from the previous year. Consequently, while the expansion of warehouse space is vigorous, the logistics sector faces challenges in adjusting to the shifting market demands. This imbalance between supply and demand is expected to continue influencing rental conditions in the coming months.
